My 99-year old Italian grandfather from Bari always instilled in me the importance of a hearty Italian Sunday meal. In 2017, after the passing of my papa, Barney, I inherited a treasure trove of his postcards. These were not just ordinary postcards; they were windows into his life's journey. Among them were correspondences from the frontlines of WWII, heartfelt notes to his family, and even letters exchanged with the Roosevelts. Each postcard was a piece of his soul, a testament to his adventures, struggles, and triumphs.
